Metal Fish Art artist creates salt water gamefish scupltures

Hand drawn, hand held  plasma cut aluminum saltwater gamefish art / sculptures.

Eric Audit is a transplant from Boston who settled in Naples Florida in 1985. Eric traveled the Caribbean, Central America, South America and Mexico through the years consulting for large upscale resorts. During his travels to places such as Florida Keys, Virgin Islands, Cabo, Costa Rica, Caymans, Puerto Rico and the Dominican republic, he discovered the true meaning of Island Life and grew fond of the great saltwater gamefish that he experienced during fishing charters and dive trips.

Eric decided to recreate these magnificent creatures of the sea through his artwork. He purchased a plasma cutter and a sheet of aluminum and set out to recreate each species in his own vision.

Every piece of metal art starts with an idea. Eric then hand draws the images onto a sheet of aluminum. he then cuts each piece out using a hand held plasma torch. he then uses a metal grinder to hand burnish each piece creating a 3d holographic effect.  No two sculptures are ever exactly alike.

friends would see his works displayed poolside at his home and began asking him to recreate some for their own homes, offices and businesses. This soon became a labor of love which has led to Eric opening Island Life Metal Works.

You wont find any fancy art gallery or studio on a main street. Eric creates all of his artwork at his home in St Petersburg Florida.

You can view all of Eric's works on his online store at http://www.metalgamefish.com/

We now offer LED backlighting for all of our sculptures. It is generally a $50 add on but it is amazing!!
